LACTATION CONSULTATIONS
We offer in-home, office, and virtual lactation visits depending on your family’s needs and preferences.

Initial Lactation Consultation
(In-Home • Office • Virtual)
A comprehensive 90-minute visit focused on understanding your feeding journey, assessing latch, positioning, oral-motor function, and milk transfer, and developing a clear, realistic care plan.
This visit typically includes:

full infant & maternal feeding history

functional oral-motor & feeding assessment

weighted feed (when appropriate)
-
positioning and latch support
-
pumping guidance (if applicable)
-
individualized written feeding plan
-
referrals or collaborative care as needed

Lactation Follow-Up Consultation

A 60-minute follow-up visit to:

review progress

continue therapeutic feeding support
Follow-ups are ideal for:

ongoing latch/supply support

feeding therapy after the initial visit

Prenatal Lactation Consultation

A 60-minute anticipatory guidance session designed to help families enter the postpartum period with clarity and confidence.
We review:

what to expect in the first 72 hours

newborn feeding cues

positioning + latch foundations

realistic expectations for milk supply

pumping + bottle introduction timing
Families leave with a personalized feeding plan and postpartum support roadmap.

FEEDING & SWALLOWING THERAPY
Feeding therapy services are provided through the lens of both SLP feeding/swallowing expertise and IBCLC lactation care, honoring the complexity of the whole child + whole family system.

Feeding & Swallowing Evaluation (0–6 months)

A 90-minute evaluation for infants in the early feeding period with concerns such as:

difficulty coordinating suck–swallow–breath

prolonged or stressful feeding

slow or inefficient intake

concerns with airway protection or endurance

functional oral-motor & feeding assessment

observation of preferred feeding method

Feeding & Swallowing Evaluation (6–12 months & 12+ months)

A 90-minute developmental feeding evaluation designed for:

delayed progression of feeding skills

difficulty transitioning textures or solids

oral aversion or stress around mealtimes

gagging, coughing, or pocketing food

concerns related to growth or safety

concerns related to swallowing & airway protection

SPEECH & FEEDING COMPREHENSIVE EVALUATIONS
This in-depth evaluation is designed for families considering a frenectomy for their child and want a clear understanding of how oral restrictions may be impacting speech, feeding, oral motor function, and overall development.​​

LOSS & LACTATION SUPPORT
(Virtual — No Cost)
This visit is offered with deep compassion for families who are navigating lactation following infant loss.

space to honor your story and your baby
